Match Participation and Safety Policy

Responsibilities and risk information for adults who create, manage, referee or join user-created matches.

Last updated

Independent, voluntary activity

Matches listed on FootForAll are normally created and conducted by independent users. FootForAll supplies digital coordination and record-keeping tools; it does not organise, operate, supervise or control the physical match, venue or participants. Joining, organising or refereeing is voluntary.

Inherent risks

Football and attendance at sports facilities involve foreseeable and unexpected risks, including collision with people or objects, falls, ball impact, muscular or joint injury, overexertion, dehydration, weather exposure, property loss and aggravation of an existing condition. No digital profile, rating, venue listing or referee status eliminates these risks.

Participant responsibilities

Do not upload unnecessary medical details. If you choose to disclose information needed in an incident report, access will be limited as described in the Privacy Notice.

  • Assess whether you are fit to participate and seek medical advice when appropriate.
  • Use suitable footwear, guards and other equipment; warm up and follow applicable rules.
  • Inspect visible conditions and do not play when the surface, weather, equipment, conduct or your condition appears unsafe.
  • Follow lawful venue rules and reasonable referee safety instructions, and stop immediately if injured or unwell.
  • Do not participate under the influence of alcohol, drugs or anything that materially impairs safe play.

Organisers, venues and referees

A user who creates or manages a match is independently responsible for the arrangements they undertake, including accurate information and reasonable communication. Venue operators remain responsible for areas and services under their control as required by law. Referees apply match rules within their accepted role but do not provide a warranty of safety. These parties are not agents or employees of FootForAll merely through use of the service.

Emergencies and incidents

For serious injury, immediate danger or suspected crime, stop play and contact venue personnel and emergency services first (112 in Greece and the EU). A report to FootForAll is not a request for emergency assistance, medical care, insurance handling or an official sports investigation. Preserve relevant information and contact the responsible venue or organiser where appropriate.

Verification labels

“Verified”, “active” or similar labels indicate only the checks described in the relevant service flow at that time. They do not certify a venue, guarantee a professional licence, establish medical fitness or promise safe performance. Read the displayed scope before relying on a label.

Acknowledgement and legal rights

When you acknowledge this policy, you confirm that you are 18 or over, understand that participation has inherent risks, and will make your own decision about the conditions. The acknowledgement records the policy version and time. It does not exclude responsibility for an independent party’s own acts and does not waive liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Report a safety concern

After urgent needs are addressed, send the match reference, time, concise facts and any relevant non-sensitive evidence to support. Do not publish another person’s medical or identity information in reviews. We may preserve records, restrict access or contact relevant parties where reasonably necessary.
